Perform a variety of pharmacy procedure requiring professional knowledge and skills in a large and complex department of pharmacy. Emphasis of the work is on compounding and dispensing a variety of medications, manufacturing of more complex solutions and in supervising work of pharmacists not registered within the state. All work is performed in accordance with recognized professional standards, hospital and pharmacy rules and regulations and applicable state and federal laws.
Possession of, or eligible for Florida Pharmacist license required. Pharm.D. degree or B. S. with equivalent clinical knowledge required. Experience in order/prescription assessment and in performing clinical interventions highly desirable. Based on specific position, practice experience in sterile products/chemotherapy preparation, working with automated dispensing machines and/or retail pharmacy practice is desirable. Strong patient care orientation, self motivation, and good interpersonal, communication, and problem solving skills and the ability to work effectively as a team player are required. Ability to demonstrate literacy in using computerized information systems.
